Ken Oliver Make N Take

So.....I am pleased to announce that the media board I ordered for the Make N Take I have been planning finally arrived today!  That means I will be able to offer it at the upcoming crops - yay! We use Ken Oliver Color Burst, Liquid Metals, and his new Mineral Burst product!  Made on a 4x4 Media Board, the cost is $2 per square.  We'll do this any time during the scrapbooking weekend.  Below are a couple of samples that I made (still slightly wet), but you can pretty much mix any colors together!  Hope you give it a try!

New class

I felt inspired by this paper line (Just Be You by Echo Park Paper) to create something that encourages women to be the best that they can be.  We so often as mothers, wives, sisters, friends don't take care of ourselves and we really should!  As women, it's up to us to lead by example for our children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren.  So, I created this layout from this inspiration and included pictures of my niece, Kristy.  She's 18 and has her whole world ahead of her.  I wanted her to know she can do and be anything she wants to be.

We use Tim Holtz Distress Oxides!  I'll be teaching this class at Cool Crops Glastonbury, Scrapbook New England's Crop at the Lake, Ready Set Crop, and our Just Scrappin' weekend in June.  Cost is $15 per person.  Hope you will join me!

New beginnings

After a challenging winter, it seems that Spring is finally here!  I am very happy to see buds on trees, my crocuses and daffodils coming up and flowering.

This has been particularly nice to see since we had a rough winter and early part of the year when we had to say goodbye to our beloved boxer, Thor.  He had been sick for quite some time with Cushings Disease, hypothyroidism, and finally diagnosed with cancer.  We miss him dearly but know that he will always be with us forever in our hearts.
