Keeping it Simple: A Perfect Winter 2 Page Layout

The end of 2017 is only a couple of days away; hard to believe the year has flown by, yet again!  I've been off my day job this week and it's been a fabulous week to rest, relax, recharge and get ready for the new year!  And speaking of new years.....

I have completed the design of my new winter 2 page layout!  I'm keeping it simple and focusing only on the papers, stickers, and adhesives for this class - no technique, just keeping it simple.  As a result, I'm dropping the price of the class from my usual $15 to $12 per person for this class only!  Hope you will join me to create a quick, simple, straight forward 2 page layout!  I will be teaching this class at Cool Crops Cromwell, Andover, and Portsmouth, and Just Scrappin in February.

In addition to this class, I will also be teaching an Art Journaling/Mixed Media 101 class for $20.  The sample below shows techniques we will use; everyone's page will be different!

New Vintage Findings Fall Layout class

Happy summer!  This has been a strange one for me and I can't believe Fall is right around the corner.  What threw me off was that we went to Hawaii in May, then had our hardwood floors re-done in June, along with getting all new living room furniture....it came me no time to do the usual things I do late spring and early summer, like plant a garden, and spend cooler mornings out on the deck....our smoker and BBQ also died this summer, so we haven't cooked out at all either!  But enough whining from me.....I'm posting to show you my new class coming this fall!

For $15 per person, we build a 2 page layout using Simple Stories Vintage Findings papers and stickers along with core'dinations paper and distress oxides.  There is also a surprise with this project that I will save for when you take the class with me!  I'll be teaching it at all crops in September and November that I'm vending at (see my schedule to the right of this post).  Hope you decide to join me!

Ken Oliver Make N Take

So.....I am pleased to announce that the media board I ordered for the Make N Take I have been planning finally arrived today!  That means I will be able to offer it at the upcoming crops - yay! We use Ken Oliver Color Burst, Liquid Metals, and his new Mineral Burst product!  Made on a 4x4 Media Board, the cost is $2 per square.  We'll do this any time during the scrapbooking weekend.  Below are a couple of samples that I made (still slightly wet), but you can pretty much mix any colors together!  Hope you give it a try!

New class

I felt inspired by this paper line (Just Be You by Echo Park Paper) to create something that encourages women to be the best that they can be.  We so often as mothers, wives, sisters, friends don't take care of ourselves and we really should!  As women, it's up to us to lead by example for our children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren.  So, I created this layout from this inspiration and included pictures of my niece, Kristy.  She's 18 and has her whole world ahead of her.  I wanted her to know she can do and be anything she wants to be.

We use Tim Holtz Distress Oxides!  I'll be teaching this class at Cool Crops Glastonbury, Scrapbook New England's Crop at the Lake, Ready Set Crop, and our Just Scrappin' weekend in June.  Cost is $15 per person.  Hope you will join me!

New beginnings

After a challenging winter, it seems that Spring is finally here!  I am very happy to see buds on trees, my crocuses and daffodils coming up and flowering.

This has been particularly nice to see since we had a rough winter and early part of the year when we had to say goodbye to our beloved boxer, Thor.  He had been sick for quite some time with Cushings Disease, hypothyroidism, and finally diagnosed with cancer.  We miss him dearly but know that he will always be with us forever in our hearts.
